Nonviolent Training
This training focuses on the basics of nonviolent resistance, also known as people power. Participants will learn the basic premises of nonviolent action, explore its strategies and tactics, and take the first steps to planning an action of their own. The workshop will include a mix of presentation, discussion, and small group activities.
Trainer
Dr. Maia Hallward, PhD has over 15 years of experience studying nonviolent resistance. She is author of books including Struggling for a Just Peace: Israeli and Palestinian Activism in the Second Intifada (University of Florida Press, 2011) and Understanding Nonviolence (Polity Press, 2015)
