Successful dissertation defense clears the way for two students to graduate in July

KENNESAW, Ga. (Jul 10, 2014) — On Tuesday, July 29, 2014, Eliza Markley and Edward Mienie will be awarded a doctor of philosophy degree, after successfully defending their dissertations to complete the requirements of the PhD program in International Conflict Management.

Ms. Markley's dissertation, titled "Building Social Capital in the Military: A study at Georgia C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies" and Mr. Mienie's disseration, titled "South Africa's Paradox: A Case of Latent Fragility", both passed after a successful presentation to their dissertation committee, faculty, colleagues and program administration.
