Faculty Spotlight: Daniel Branham, Geospatial Sciences: Aug 2023

Daniel is a licensed land surveyor in the State of Georgia. He has been licensed since 1990. He has worked at Kennesaw State University since Fall of 2002 teaching surveying and mapping courses. He is the faculty advisor for the Student Surveying and Mapping Competition Team. Daniel received his BS in Surveying and Mapping from West Virginia Tech in 1984. He also received an MS in Construction Management from Kennesaw State University in 2019.

  • Students and Faculty Study Human and Urban Geography in Italy and France

    In Summer 2023, Dr. Paul McDaniel, Associate Professor of Geography, and students from a variety of majors, along with several faculty and students from other colleges and universities around Georgia, participated in two summer study abroad programs: Session 1 of the KSU in Italy Summer Study Abroad program based in Montepulciano, from May 18 to June 22; and the USG Goes Global Paris summer study abroad program based in Paris, France, from June 29 to July 31. In both programs, Dr. McDaniel offered Introduction to Human Geography, a social science general education course, and Urban Geography, an upper-division course.  –  August 31, 2023

  • Daniel Branham has been elected to serve as a Director of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia

    Daniel Branham has been elected to serve as a Director of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia, (SAMSOG), for a two-year term. The swearing in ceremony was conducted Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the SAMSOG summer convention in Charleston, South Carolina.  –  August 16, 2023
