Certificate in Land Surveying - Stand-alone and Embedded

Land Surveying Certificate - Stand-Alone and Embedded - is designed to prepare surveyors with the basic education necessary to take the Fundamentals of Land Surveying Exam and meets the State of Georgia academic registration requirements to become a Professional Land Surveyor.

Undergraduate students will need to be admitted as a regular student and select the certificate which they wish to pursue.  Students already admitted need to go to Owl Express and select the certificate they would like to pursue in the change/major application.

If you are pursuing only the Land Surveying certificate (and not a degree at KSU), please follow the steps below to be admitted to KSU.

If you do not hold a bachelor's degree you should apply as an "Adult/Non-Traditional" student:

  1. Apply through the standard application 
  2. Select "Adult/Non-Traditional" as the application type
  3. Select "Certificate" as the degree type
  4. Select the Land Surveying certificate from the list

If you hold a bachelor's degree, you should apply as a Transfer student:

  1. Apply through the standard application 
  2. Select "Transfer" as the application type
  3. Select "Certificate" as the degree type
  4. Select the Land Surveying certificate from the list
You must meet admission requirements in order to be admitted to the university- which includes submitting all college transcripts.
