KSU-SSI Symposium a success

KENNESAW, Ga. (Apr 1, 2011) — The February 25, 2011 symposium, titled “Conflict Management: A Tool for U.S. National Security,” provided state-of-the-art analysis of the effectiveness of bringing together national, international and local government agencies with humanitarian and non-governmental partners to stabilize and help build lasting peace in post-conflict situations such as Iraq and Afghanistan. The forum is the first such event at KSU since the university launched its Ph.D. in International Conflict Management in fall 2010. The symposium welcomed over 100 scholars, military experts and policy makers and was a joint collaboration between Kennesaw State University and the U.S. Army War College.

We hope to hold another symposium next year and will have details out soon.
