Meet the Peer Advisors

Peer advisors will advise only freshman students who are a declared CHSS major, major interest, or minor student, as well as students interested in changing their major or minor to a CHSS program. Peer advisors will help freshman navigate through the core courses and be able to get 30 hour holds removed. Peer Advisors will operate on a walk-in basis only, not by appointment. Freshman walk in advising will be available on the following dates and times:

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

The Undergraduate Advising Center is staffed by Peer Advisors from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Advisor, qualified candidates must have a 3.0 or higher GPA. When a Peer Advisor positions is vacated, we send out applications and job descriptions to all qualified candidates in that major.

Victoria ButlerVictoria Butler

Hello! My name is Victoria. I am a Modern Language & Culture Major with a concentration in French and Portuguese. I plan to travel abroad and teach English as a second language. I also hope to become a certified interpreter. With my free time, I love to sing, dance, act, and watch Broadway shows. I also love learning as many languages as I can! I am studying hard to get my dream job, and look forward to assisting you to do the same!

Jaclyn Jaclyn GehrsitzGehrsitz

My name is Jaclyn Gehrsitz, and I am a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Applied Statistics & Data Analysis. I am currently a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement. I am still making up my mind about what I plan to do with my degree, but I am interested in Developmental Psychology and Gerontology, as well as mental health. In my spare time I enjoy writing creatively and playing music (guitar and a little piano). I look forward to helping students on their journey here at KSU!
