The School of Communication & Media at KSU will host the sixth annual Communication Colloquium on Thursday, September 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. on the first floor of the Social Sciences Building (Kennesaw Campus). All KSU students are welcome to attend.

The event will begin in the Social Sciences Lobby with a networking session and exhibit of Adobe Creative Cloud artifacts created by SOCM students. Keynote speaker Cathy Hackl, an Emmy-nominated communicator turned virtual reality and augmented reality global speaker, producer and futurist, will lead the main session that begins at 6:15 p.m. More than a dozen leading executives from world-class organizations will also participate in various break-out sessions focusing on public relations, media and entertainment, journalism and internships/professional development. Representatives from Adobe Systems will help SOCM students claim their free Adobe memberships and also lead hands-on workshops on Adobe Behance and Adobe Portfolio.  Students are encouraged to bring their laptops!

SOCM organizations like the Public Relations Student Society of America, Society of Professional Journalists and Lambda Pi Eta will host informational tables in the Social Sciences Atrium. Representatives will also be on hand to discuss the School’s internship program and advising resources.
