KSU PRSSA Wins Award

KENNESAW, Ga. (Oct 28, 2020) — On Oct. 27, the Kennesaw State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) was awarded the Dr. F. H. Teahan Award for Chapter Development at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) International Conference. 

The PRSSA Teahan National Chapter Awards Competition recognizes 12 categories of chapter excellence and recipients are competitively selected among nearly 375 PRSSA chapters across the globe.  

Kennesaw State PRSSA was selected as the 2020 Teahan Chapter Development Award winner for its recruitment initiatives, chapter programming, member involvement, and relationship with its sponsoring PRSA chapter. Kennesaw State PRSSA built its membership from five to 42 members in the 2019-2020 academic year. The chapter will receive an award plaque and $300 to continue its chapter development innovations.

The Teahan Award for Chapter Development caps off winning year for Kennesaw State PRSSA, which also won two PRSSA National Pacesetter awards for member recruitment and implementation of the nationwide virtual PRSSA event “Public Relations in the Time of Coronavirus.”
