KSU Faculty and students shine at the annual meeting of the Georgia Sociological Association

KENNESAW, Ga. (Nov 11, 2019) — KSU faculty and students shined at the annual meeting of the Georgia Sociological Association, Jekyll Island, Nov. 7-9, 2019. Drs. Linda Treiber, Ravi Ghadge, Cristina Stephens, Evelina Sterling and Darina Lepadatu have mentored approx. 25 students who have presented innovative research at the conference with many excellent reviews from the audience. Their research topics ranged from Women's Sexual Health, Racial Disparities, Racialized Emotions, Veteran's Affairs, Recidivism and Police Brutality and Social Construction of Aging in Georgia. Thank you to the Office of Undergraduate Research for the URCA funding!

 

Dr. Ravi Ghadge has been elected to become a member-at-large in the Executive Board and Prof. Darina Lepadatu received the gavel as the new President of Georgia Sociological Association.  Great job everyone!  Let’s keep the momentum rolling for next year’s conference at the Lake Lanier Lodge!
