Students Recognized at KSU Student Media Awards

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (May 22, 2012) — Students who excelled in their roles in student media were honored on April 27 at the 2012 KSU Student Media Awards. Those recognized work in one of Kennesaw State’s various media outlets which include KSU Owl Radio, The Sentinel Newspaper, Share Art and Literary Magazine, and Talon Feature Magazine.

Students from all disciplines participate in student media; however, many participants hail from the Communication Department. Some of those COM students who received awards for their work include but are not limited to: Megan Emory who won the “Editor’s Choice Award” and the award for “Best Feature Story;” Jace White from the Media Studies concentration who won for “Best Cartoons;” Linda Boehringer who won for “Best News Story;” and Communication major and Sentinel Editor-in-Chief Nikki Hope who took Ed Bonza’s “Advisor’s Editor of the Year Award.”
