Retail Loss Prevention Scholarship Fund Established

KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 18, 2015) — The Georgia Retail Association Organized Retail Crime Alliance (GRAORCA) has established a $5000 scholarship fund for the KSU CJ program, to be awarded to select criminal justice interns who have exhibited a strong interest in the field of retail loss prevention. GRAORCA is an organization comprised of retail loss prevention specialists throughout the State of Georgia; this new scholarship is being created to raise student awareness of and interest in careers in the field of retail loss prevention.

Prof. Peter Fenton, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and CJ Internship Coordinator, as well as staff members at the KSU Foundation, have worked with GRAORCA representatives to make this generous offer a reality. Scholarships will be competitive and merit-based; it is anticipated that the initial awards will be made early in 2016.
