Recent PhD graduate, Dr. Pranaya Rana's Key Achievements at his Military Academy in Nepal

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Sep 8, 2016) — This past summer, Dr. Pranaya SJB Rana was invited by the Nepalese Military Academy to assist the academy with the restructuring of their research methods course and to conduct a research seminar. As a representative of Center for Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University, Dr. Rana worked with local expert Professor Kamal Rathour to evaluate research needs at the Nepalese Military Academy and the Army Command and Staff College (ACSC). As per the evaluation, Dr. Rana created basic research guide for Officers and conducted a two-day research seminar at ACSC. The student Officers included about 50 officers from Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, National Investigation Department, Armed Police Force, Defense Ministry, as well as foreign officers from Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan, United States and more. He also assisted the faculty at the Military Academy to create a full year syllabus for research methods. During this visit, Dr. Rana also met with the Chief of Nepalese Army, General Rajendra Chhetri, to discuss the academic needs of the Nepalese Army and to discuss future potentials between the Center for Conflict Management at KSU and the Nepalese Army.
