Recent Anthropology graduate Raeanna Duck to start and develop Kennesaw State University's new Marietta campus Veteran Resource Center

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Aug 24, 2015) — >Raeanna Duck, a recent graduate from the Geography and Anthropology Department of Kennesaw State and US Army veteran has been selected to start and develop Kennesaw State University's new Marietta campus Veteran Resource Center. The parent office is well established in Willingham Hall, located on KSU's main campus. As a veteran and cultural anthropologist Raeanna's role as transition coordinator will be to assist student veterans with the complexities of the Veterans Administration's education benefits, the transition from service member to student, and the buffer between the two subcultures of civilian and service member. She will be active in program development which aims to improve the campus climate for the student veteran population. Raeanna has also been asked to continue the veteran education benefits based research that she began during her under grad at KSU, which has already been presented to administrative levels at the school.
