Public Relations Student Society Holds First Chapter Meeting, Discusses Upcoming Events

KENNESAW, Ga. (Jan 23, 2012) — Kennesaw State's Public Relations Student Society held its first chapter meeting January 18. If you missed it, it's not too late to become a member and enjoy the long list of events happening this semester.

At the meeting, PRSSA held a Skype meeting with Ashlyn Stallings, president of PRSA Young Professionals. She discussed the opportunity of attending PR Real World. PR Real World will be held on February 17th from 8 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. in the Loudermilk Center of Atlanta. Early registration at $70 for members and $80 for non-members ends at midnight on February 6. After that date the price will go up $10 each. There is also a networking mixer for all Real World attendees on February 16th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The seminars being held at PR Real World are:

• Corporate World vs. Agency Life
• Social Media
• HR Gatekeepers (Interviewing, etc.)
• Non-Profits
• Entertainment/ Sports PR
• Political PR
• Travel and Hospitality PR
