National Geographic funds Georgia Geographic Alliance with another $20k Grant

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Nov 5, 2010) — The National Geographic Society has awarded $20k to fund the Georgia Geographic Alliance's activities in 2011. Funds will be used for various activities including Giant Map events, the High School World Geography Bowl, teaching conference "Geofests", and sponsoring the Georgia Council for Social Studies. Membership in the Georgia Geographic Alliance is free and open to all who support geography education in Georgia.
