Master of Science in International Policy Management approved by Regents

KENNESAW, Ga. (Jan 15, 2009) — The Department of Political Science and International Affairs at Kennesaw State University is proud to announce that they will soon offer a new Master of Science in International Policy Management. The new degree, approved by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia in January 13, 2009, prepares future leaders in Georgia’s business, government, and institutional fields for today’s global environment.

It is an applied degree program that will give students practical knowledge about global issues relevant to business, governance and the public sector. Specifically, the program will emphasize how the international policy process works, how it impacts the private and public sectors and the interrelationship of political, economic and regulatory components of a global environment.

Courses in the new program cover topics such as trade policy and practice, international political economy, development policy and practice, political risk management, international conflict management, strategic negotiations and decision-making, world politics and governance, comparative politics; and comparative regulatory politics and will be taught through on-line courses and some face-to-face instruction. This delivery method makes learning accessible to working professionals, many of whom travel a great deal.
