Mark Patterson and Hoalst-Pullen Receive Multimedia Award at Annual DNR Confluence Conference

KENNESAW, Ga. (Mar 18, 2015) — Dr. Mark Patterson and Dr. Nancy Hoalst-Pullen received the Multimedia Award at this year's Confluence, Georgia Adopt-A-Stream's (AAS) Volunteer Conference. The Beer Doctors were cited for their ongoing community engagement in increasing public awareness of non-point source pollution and overall activism of promoting volunteerism and monitoring events of Georgia's streams by way of their wikis, which are created annually with students in Watershed Assessment and Watershed Analysis courses. Patterson and Pullen are very humbled and honored to receive this award and thank the AAS for the infrastructure they provide individuals and groups to monitor streams in Georgia.
