Dr. Sharon Pearcey named Chair of the Department of Psychology

KENNESAW, Ga. (Sep 23, 2008) — The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Department of Psychology are pleased to report that based on the recommendation of the Department of Psychology Chair Search Committee and the subsequent vote in the department, Dean Vengroff has appointed Dr. Sharon Pearcey as the new Chair of the Department of Psychology. Dean Vengroff had kind words for Dr. Pearcey, saying "I believe that Dr. Pearcey has the skills, the energy, the vision and the commitment to serve the department well. I look forward to working with her in the coming years."

The Dean would also like to offer special thanks to the members of the search committee for their hard work, diligence and perseverance through an extended search.
