Dr. Luc Guglielmi selected for induction into the French Republic's Ordre des Palmes Académiques

KENNESAW, Ga. (Apr 3, 2013) — Congratulations to Dr. Luc Guglielmi for having been selected for induction into the French Republic's prestigious Ordre des Palmes Académiques (National Honor Society of Arts and Letters) at the grade of Chevalier (Knight) on 5 March, 2013. The Ordre des Palmes Académiques is the oldest non-military decoration in France. It was founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1808 to honor educators. This distinction was initially awarded to outstanding members of the university community. Today, it is bestowed upon instructors and professors for significant contributions made through innovative teaching, internationally recognized scholarship, and decisive academic leadership over the course of their careers. The Palmes académiques is awarded by the Prime Minister of France, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Education.
