Congratulations to the School of Communication & Media's Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Alums and Students

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (Oct 31, 2017) — The School of Communication & Media's Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Alums and Students were recognized by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Homecoming Luncheon and Awards event on Oct. 21.

 

Ashli Davis, alumna from Public Relations in the School of Communication & Media, was recognized as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Nominee for KSU Distinguished Alumni for 2017.  Ashli has continued to be engaged with students in the School in many capacities since her graduation in 2006. She is also a part-time instructor for KSU.

 

Ellen Eldridge (pictured here), is a graduate of the Journalism & Emerging Media major. She is a member of the front-page staff for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and president of the Georgia Society of Professional Journalists. Jane Edgar, graduate of the Organizational Communication program, is employed with Cox Automotive Inc. Both Ellen and Jane have continued to be engaged with the School and its students since graduating.

 

Recognized as an Outstanding Student in Journalism & Emerging Media, Austin McMillian is a photographer for the Sentinel newspaper. He is pursuing a career as a photojournalist.

 

 

 

Recognized as an Outstanding Student in Media & Entertainment, Matthew Willard has completed an internship with Web MD and manages social media accounts for several KSU colleges.

 

 

 

Recognized as an Outstanding Student in the master of arts program in Integrated Global Communication, Marlaina Williams completed an internship this summer at Seongdun-gu in Seoul, South Korea, and has the highest grade point average in her fall graduating class. Marlaina was unable to attend this event.
