Classmates and Alumni of MSCM Student, Christina Campbell, Successfully Reach Fundraising Goal and Pave Way for Student Disability Services at KSU

KENNESAW, Ga. (Sep 20, 2016) — During the last semester of the program, MS in Conflict Management (MSCM) students attend a study abroad to learn more about their field internationally. Although the course is not required, many students look forward to the opportunity to travel with their peers at the end of their graduate program. This year, the Cohort plans to travel to Northern Ireland in November with Dr. Sherrill Hayes and Dr. Susan Raines.

Christina Campbell of this year's Cohort 17 has a physical disability that requires an aid worker to travel with her to Ireland. Although her costs are covered as part her program tuition, her aid worker's costs are not. If Christina travels with her peers to Ireland, she will be part of a small number of brave students who refuse to let a physical disability prevent them from pursuing their passions.

Since they've spent the last 12 months in courses together, her peers couldn't fathom traveling to Ireland without her. To ensure Christina could join them, they created a GoFundMe page with a goal of $2,500 to make her MSCM travel goal come true. In just 9 short days with 51 backers, her peers raised 100% of the funds!

Thanks to MSCM students, alumni, faculty, and friends, Christina is now paving the way for Student Disability Services at KSU and can now join her Cohort as they discover the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland! Way to go MSCM team!
