Anthropology Students and Alumni Presented Research in Georgia Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (May 10, 2017) — In the Georgia Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting on March 24-25 in Young Harris, Georgia, several KSU anthropology students and alumni presented their research including historic period archaeology in Georgia, analysis of human remains from graves in Ierapetra, Greece, and ethical and methodological considerations of working with teaching collections. Senior Eden Ryan won the best undergraduate paper for anthropology for her paper, "How one skeleton opens the window into the daily lives of Romanized Cretans," which was co-authored with Dr. Susan Kirkpatrick Smith.
