The Technical Communication and Interactive Design Department (TCID) is home to two undergraduate degrees––Interactive Design and Technical Communication––that prepare students for careers in the fields of interaction design, user interface design, information design, data analysis, and technical training.
These programs involve students in the theoretical and cultural components of digital environments and offer practical application through a full range of multimodal, digital projects integrated throughout the curriculum. The courses in the programs prepare students to curate and build a collection of professional work for portfolios. In this highly collaborative environment, students learn to be integrative and informative communicators and designers who are ready to work in a variety of careers.
Additionally, we are currently revising our graduate offerings to reflect our unique mission within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Kennesaw State University. While we are unable to admit new students at this time, we encourage interested applicants to contact us for more information.
