Dr. Stan Crowder takes his Learning Community class on the road

KENNESAW, Ga. (Oct 23, 2017) — On October 16, 2017, Dr. Stan Crowder and Professor Andy Altizer moved their students from the classroom to the academy...the North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy (NCGLEA) in Austell, Georgia.  The twenty-five students in the Learning Community, "Public Safety: Bridging the Gap Between the Classroom and the Street," received presentations from Mr. Ryan Powell with the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council and Major Ken Davis, Cobb County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and Academy Director for NCGLEA.  Students also participated in a practical exercise on use of force lead by Sergeant Butch Brown (CCSO).  The students voiced their unanimous appreciation to the hosts and enjoyed a great learning experience.
