Dr. Maureen A. McCarthy appointed as Faculty Executive Assistant to the President at Kennesaw State University

 

KENNESAW, Ga. (May 16, 2012) — The College of Humanities and Social Sciences and President Papp are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Maureen A. McCarthy, Professor of Psychology, as the next Faculty Executive Assistant (FEA) to the President.

As FEA, Dr. McCarthy will represent the faculty on the Cabinet, undertake major campus-wide initiatives, represent the university in a variety of settings, and sit on the Cabinet. Dr. McCarthy will assume the three-year FEA post on July 1. Dr. McCarthy holds a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University, and joined KSU's Department of Psychology in 2005. She has also been a faculty member at Austin Peay State University and served as Associate Executive Director and Director of Precollege and Undergraduate Programs at the American Psychological Association.
